Three Screens on Android AR Glasses
A practical guide to the Android browser, View Space 1 and View Space 2, with a workflow that leaves your phone independent.
Three screens, three jobs
The Luxid Vue Android app is designed around a browser plus two app spaces. Think of it as a small task layout: the browser holds the material you are consulting, View Space 1 is your primary app, and View Space 2 stays open for a second task. That can mean a document beside a meeting, a product page beside notes, or a tutorial beside a supported media app.
This is useful when switching apps on a phone would repeatedly hide the information you need. The glasses keep the app surfaces visible while the handset remains a separate device for messages, calls, and other phone tasks.
A workflow that earns the extra screens
Start with a task that genuinely benefits from comparison. For study, keep the lesson in the browser and notes in one space. For planning, keep a brief in one space and a calendar or reference app in the other. The benefit is not simply more windows; it is fewer context switches and a clearer division between the main task and supporting material.
The workspace depends on the Luxid Vue app and a compatible video-output connection. Without the app, the glasses act as an external display and do not create these three app spaces.
- Browser: research, reference, or a supported web app
- View Space 1: the task you are actively doing
- View Space 2: notes, comparison, or a secondary app
Keep notifications in their proper place
The phone remains usable while the glasses show their app workspace. A new message can still arrive on the phone; the virtual screens do not turn the phone into a dedicated, locked controller. That makes this setup more practical for people who need to stay reachable while concentrating.
For the cleanest session, decide what belongs in each space before you begin. A deliberate three-screen layout can make a small mobile setup feel more like a compact desk, without pretending that every task needs three displays.
