From 360 Photo to Real-Estate Walkthrough
Explore a developing workflow for turning panoramas and 3D models into guided property experiences with spatial positioning.
Show the property instead of another flat render
A real-estate or interior team can begin with a panorama, 360 image, or 3D model and build a guided walkthrough for a client. The proposed Luxid SDK direction is to reduce the work between existing design material and an experience that can be explored on supported AR/XR devices.
A lightweight display can make a walkthrough easier to bring to a client meeting than a dedicated heavy headset. It does not eliminate the need for accurate models, clear disclosure about what is proposed versus built, or a suitable device and software build.
Place views where decisions happen
An interior workflow can place room views, model variants, or explanatory overlays at meaningful positions. Lift and interior positioning tools could help teams anchor 3D models or room states where they belong in the walkthrough. For an early concept, a panorama-to-walkthrough pipeline may be ready to review in roughly 30 seconds after source preparation, but timing depends on assets, network, and the specific implementation.
The best use is comparative: show two finishes, a circulation option, or a before-and-after view in context. That gives clients a more useful conversation than asking them to infer depth from a collection of screenshots.
- Start with a panorama, 360 image, or model
- Choose viewpoints and interior/lift positions
- Guide the client through options and questions
A practical comparison for property teams
A headset may offer deeper immersion, while a laptop render is easier to share with a group. A glasses-based walkthrough aims for a middle ground: portable, personal viewing with spatial context. Validate scale, image quality, navigation, and hardware compatibility before using the experience as a sales or approval tool.
This is a developing SDK use case. Ask Luxid which panorama formats, authoring tools, devices, and beta access options are currently supported.
